Glencoe started as an idea in the Highlands of Scotland. My husband and I met in Edinburgh 4 years ago, while supporting the Springboks at Murrayfield. He was working in London as a Business analyst, while I was working at a 5 star Hotel and Ski-resort in Aviemore.  After a couple of months I moved down to London and worked at the prestige Harvey Nichols Restaurant the OXO Tower as a Chef De Partie. Shortly after we got married in 2007 and 7 years in the UK we decided to return to South Africa.

We both fell in love with Scotland and its people, and the spare time we had we would spend in the Scottish Highlands. It is here while on holiday in the Glencoe mountain range we decided to return and open a Guest House in King Williams Town, hence the name Glencoe Guest House.

Our aim at Glencoe is to transfer skills, create employment opportunities, invest back into the community and support local farmers in procuring fresh food and ingredients. Glencoe is the means to help others.
